Between 1980 and 1984, Steve Buscemi worked as a volunteer firefighter for New York City Fire Department's Engine 55. After 9/11, he returned returned to his comrades at Engine 55, helping them out with the WTC rubble.

The above picture was taken on 09.12.2001.
