As you may have heard already, last Friday, while receiving the 25th American Cinematheque Award, which was presented to him by his long time friend Mel Gibson, Robert Downey, jr., basically asked the movie industry to forgive Mel Gibson for his wrongdoings and start hiring him again. Here's how it happened:
