This picture was taken on February 03, 2008, during a fire in an apartment building in Ludwigshafen, Germany. The four-storey building's main wooden staircase collapsed in the blaze, trapping people on upper floors. Nine people died.
This two-year-old kid was thrown 20 ft by his parents from the widow in a desperate attempt to save his life. He survived without a scratch.
