Gators have a reflex that when something touches the inside of their mouth, their jaws slam shut. That's why idiots routinely put their heads inside their mouths; as long as they don't touch anything, they are safe.via
He's lucky the gator didn't roll. They usually do that after they bite something to "break" it up enough to stop resisting. (Nothing Toxic)
