Info Post

Buy Nothing Day is an International informal day of protest against consumerism - the Anti-consumerism day.

It was founded in Canada and mainly promoted by Adbusters magazine and it’s celebrated on the day after the fourth Thursday of November each year in the US and Canada (November 23, this year), and the next day in the rest of the world (November 24)

It's a day where you challenge yourself, your family and friends to switch off from shopping and tune into life. The rules are simple, for 24 hours you will detox from consumerism and live without shopping. Anyone can take part provided they spend a day without spending! And if you’re an activist, take it to the streets!
